Lancashire Junior Soccer Leagues is aimed at pro-active coaches who want to develop their players by ensuring they are provided with regular game experience, outside of their ordinary football environment. We provide competitive mid-week junior football in addition to your clubs.
Our ideology is to mix the fundamentals of grassroots junior football with the competitive nature of elite academy football. We aim to provide the latest 3G facilities in a 7v7 format with leagues playing all year round.
Our events are 14 weeks long with only 8 teams per age group, playing each team twice. Our target age groups are under 7’s through to under 12’s, as this is where we believe we can benefit the community most. You will find plenty of information on our site about our league, and the latest results, tables and fixtures.
How does it work?
Lancashire Junior Soccer Leagues is a membership organisation. Each member of our organisation is able to take part in small sided 7v7 soccer playing agaisnt other members.
As a coach, you will submit your team, and each player of your team will have a signed membership form from parents. If you are a member of an affiliated Junior Football Club, when you join our organisation, you will do so under your own team name, not that of your JFC, as this is a private membership event.
By using the experience our coaches already have and putting a clear plan in place we believe the future can be very bright for junior football. Player development and players enjoying football is the core philosophy central to our junior football league.
As a member organisation involved in working with Children, all adult members must possess a current DBS certificate, and a minimum of a Level 1 coaching qualification.
Each member, parent, and employee must sign a code of conduct and adhere to the terms of membership at all times.
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. Behaviour is the Lancashire Junior Soccer Leagues most fundamental requirement to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all members.
This includes the abuse of match officials and the unacceptable behaviour of over competitive parents, spectators and coaches on the sideline.
Play your part and observe The Lancashire Junior Soccer Leagues Code of Conduct in everything you do.
The Lancashire Junior Soccer League events are all held at Accrington Sports Academy, boasting a floodlit 3G pitch providing 3 simultaneous 7v7 junior football matches and a whole range of facilities such as changing rooms, canteen, presentation hall for award events and adequate parking available. We are truly pleased to be working alongside Accrington Sports Academy to add greater value to our leagues.
How to register?
The first step to becoming a member of Lancashire Junior Soccer Leagues is to register your interest. Once this has been done a member of our team will be in touch to answer any questions you may have.
A registration pack will then be sent, and once all members of your team have signed parental forms, you will be able to submit your membership. At this point, you will then be able to choose your team name.
Remember, those who are part of a Junior Football Club, will need to choose a different name than your club. We encourage teams to make this a fun experience for their players. Get them involved and amongst yourselves decide what your team should be named. We would love to hear from you as to how your name was chosen.
Registered, What Next?
Once your membership has been submitted, your team name will be published on our website under your age category. At this point you will be able to decide whether you would like your player names to be published on our website.
Publishing your player’s names is an optional decision for each team. The benefits of doing this will allow players to be able see their involvement in the games, check their score records and add to the immersion of a professional football experience.
This then also allows us to keep a record of goals for players that will be used at our end of season awards ceremony for top goalscorer of each league.
Once your team has been submitted, and your first match fee has been paid as a deposit, your team will be allocated and provided a team jersey to wear whilst taking part in our event.
Preparing for the event
Once the age category for your team has been filled. The fixtures will be drawn and published online.
The first event is to begin during the first week of August. Matches are played on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening dependent upon your age group.
Games are held at the Accrington Sports Academy on 7v7 3G Pitches. Each game is supervised by a match co-ordinator and overseer. Scores will be submitted by our match co-ordinator and updated on our website the following day. Your team will be able to keep track of results, league standings and upcoming fixtures.
At the end of each event an awards ceremony will be held in the main auditorium of our facility.
